Did you know that some years an oak tree produces almost no acorns? It can be 2-5 years between what is known as a "Mast" year when there is a boom in acorns. This low or high-production of acorns can't be correlated back to the weather or resources available to the tree. It just is what it is! Just a gentle reminder from nature, perhaps, that we too have times of high and low productivity. There doesn't have to be a reason - it's just natural!
